  • Do you have a drop in fee?

We do not charge a drop in fee for Open Mats, but we do appreciate a google review if you enjoyed the training.

  • I already own a uniform. Will I have to purchase a new one once I join your academy?

No. We welcome any brand or color Gi, however consider the savings you get if you take advantage of our Startup offer which provides you with a new Gi. As coach says… you can never have too many Gis.

  • Are these classes only for competitive BJJ?

Not at all. We have a good blend of competitive students, hobbyists, and people just looking for a great workout.

  • How often should I train to be successful in BJJ?

Consistency is the key to success in BJJ. Everyone has different goals and schedules which dictate how often you should train. Check out our schedule and see what days/times work best for you!

  • Do you have showers/changing areas?

Yes, we do have a shower, however towels and toiletries are not provided. We have separate dressing rooms for men and women.

  • I took a break from BJJ. Do I have to start over as a White Belt?

No, you will never lose the rank you earned. No matter how long of a break you have had, you do not lose the knowledge. You can expect for your timing to be off, you may feel sluggish or rusty, but in due time you will be back in the swing of things.

  • I have a past injury/medical condition. What precautions should I take before getting started?

Talk to your Dr. If you get the OK, come in and get started. If you have limitations, let us know what your Dr. says you can or cannot do. We want to make sure you’re safe and have a great training experience.
